The problem with a downloaded flashcard deck is that it was made for someone else's course. It uses their teacher's terms, covers their syllabus's emphasis and skips the thing your class spent two weeks on. A pack built from your own material has none of that mismatch.

Making cards yourself is genuinely good for you, and it is also the reason most people never do it. Two hours of typing out cards is two hours not spent using them. Edapt does the transcription so the time goes into the part that actually moves marks, which is retrieving the answers.

The cheatsheet exists because screens are not always where study happens. A single page you can print, annotate and keep in front of you while you work through problems is a different tool from a tab you have to keep switching to, and for a lot of people it is the one that gets used.
