Questions

Everything you might be wondering.

The questions parents ask before their child starts. If yours is not here, email us and it probably will be.

Who is Edapt Learn for?
This part of Edapt is for primary school kids, Foundation to Year 6, which is roughly ages five to twelve. You hold one family account as the parent and each child does their own learning. High schoolers and uni students have their own accounts.
Is it really free?
Yes, to start. You make a parent account, add your kids and go, with no card and no trial clock counting down. Free gives the family 5 AI lessons a month, shared between your kids, and a paid plan raises that for everyone at once.
Does my child need their own account?
No. One parent login covers the whole family. Each child gets a tile on the "Who's learning?" screen and taps it to start, with no email or password of their own. You can put a 4-digit PIN on any tile if you want to.
Can my child sign up on their own?
Yes. They set themselves up, take the superpower quiz and type in a grown-up's email. You get an email, sign in or make a parent account, and say yes. Until then they wait on a "Waiting for your grown-up" screen and cannot do anything else, and the request runs out after 7 days.
What is the superpower quiz?
It is 8 quick picture questions, with a read aloud button on each, that work out how your child likes to take things in. The result is a superpower: Looker for seeing, Listener for hearing, Reader for reading or Maker for doing. Your child takes it when they are set up, and every lesson after that is explained their way.
Are learning styles actually real?
Here is the honest answer. The quiz is based on VARK (Fleming and Mills, 1992), and there is no good evidence that teaching a child in their preferred style raises their marks. What it does give them is a way to describe how they like to learn and a strategy to reach for when something is hard, which is the only claim we make for it.
What subjects does it cover?
Maths, Reading, Writing, Spelling, Science, History and Geography, Health and PE, Art, Music, Drama, Languages and Digital Technologies. Your child picks theirs when they are set up, and can also type in any topic they are stuck on. Every lesson is pitched at their year level.
What can my child do in the app?
Lessons, study packs, audio overviews, diagrams, Revision and a Library of everything they have made, plus a Base they decorate with the coins they earn. Everything grown-up is hidden from a kid's tile.
Are the lessons made by AI?
Yes. Each lesson is made for your child on the spot, at their year level and in their learning style, on the subject or topic they choose. That is how a lesson can meet them exactly where they are stuck.
How long is a lesson?
Short, by design. Lessons are meant to fit into the time a primary school kid will happily sit still for, and the daily streak is there to bring them back tomorrow rather than keep them on for an hour today.
Is it safe and private?
Edapt is built in Australia and is privacy-first. A kid profile holds a nickname, never a surname, email or date of birth, and no kid ever has a login of their own. We do not train our own AI models on your child's work, we do not run ads or sell data, and you can remove a child, or your whole account and its data, at any time. Our privacy policy at edaptlearn.com/privacy names every AI provider we use and where each one stands.
Can I add more than one child?
Yes, as many as you have, on every plan. Each child gets their own tile, superpower, subjects, lessons and Base, and the whole family shares one plan.
Does it work on a tablet?
Yes. It runs in the browser on a tablet, a laptop or a phone, with big text and roomy buttons made for small hands. There is nothing to install.
What do I see as the parent?
Your own tile opens the family page. It shows each child's lessons done, streak, last day active and learning style side by side, and it is where you add kids, set PINs and look after your plan.
How do I get in touch?
Email edaptlearn@gmail.com and a person reads it. Questions about your account, your child's data or something that is not working are all welcome.
